Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone 4 today, which it claims offers more than 100 new features, but focus only on a handle for opening. The 4 looks like the prototype iPhone iPhone obtained under dubious circumstances by Gizmodo: stainless steel, all-glass front and a design described Jobs as the thinnest smartphone on the planet: nearly 25 percent thinner than the iPhone 3G .. Unlike the previous iPhone, the iPhone has 4 volume controls on the side of the phone with a plateau reached MicroSim. The iPhone 4 includes a camera from the front, back and sports a microphone, 30pin connector for docking, and a loudspeaker, while the elite level for a second noise-canceling microphone, sleep button / alarm clock, and a headphone input.
jobs went on to highlight the bands on the side of the iPhone 4 which has caused much speculation in the wake of the leak prototypes. Jobs identified them as a part of the antenna of the phone, saying that the stainless steel strip is mainly structural element of the device. The antenna supports all 4 of the iPhone's wireless capabilities, 3G and Wi-Fi Bluetooth GPS and cellular communications.
The 4 iPhone will also sport what Jobs described as a "retinal display" four times the pixel density of a conventional LCD screen with a huge 326 pixels per inch by far denser than anything else in the market for consumer electronics. The result is a 3.5-inch display with a native resolution of 960 x 640 pixels which is actually higher resolution than the normal human eye can perceive, when kept at a distance of only 10 to 12 inches. Jobs claims the 4 winds iPhone display look like a high quality book printed (although emits light!) Rather than a pixelated grid blocks. The iPhone OS automatically handles the rendering of text and controls to the higher resolution for the iPhone 4, so that developers do not need to do something to update their applications to look good on the new display ... but, of course, if developers to add more graphics resolution to their applications, they will look stunning on the iPhone 4.
